VGS 2020: At Line 6, innovation is in the water. Twenty-four years since we launched our original AxSys 212 amplifier at NAMM, we’re proud of the trail we’ve blazed for modelling technology, from the game-changing POD to the best-selling Spider amp series – and even more excited about the products still to come.

Founded in 1996 by music tech visionaries Marcus Ryle and Michel Doidic, Line 6 has come a long way from our modest headquarters in Culver City, California, and the nascent modelling tools that powered our early products. But while the new Line 6 releases at the 2020 Virtual Guitar Show are worlds apart in their power, flexibility and features, the guiding concept behind our ideas factory remains unchanged.

As Ryle puts it: “Innovation is the culture of the company and all the people who work here. That’s what drives us. It’s like if you’re an athlete, you’re always trying to best your performance.”

We can look back on a track-record of Line 6 products that turned the gear scene on its head, from the DL4 delay and Vetta amp series, to the evolving range of Variax guitars, the stage and studio-ready Firehawk, and the AMPLIFi line that gives players every tone in rock ‘n’ roll history.

We might not be able to meet you face-to-face at The Virtual Guitar Show. But you can still expect a deep dive into the latest Line 6 products, as our designers, technicians and star endorsers demo the key features and reveal tricks of the trade you can use in your own career.
