Learn to play triads: little guitar chords with big potential

Expanding your knowledge of guitar chords is vital to staying creative as a player, and triads are an accessible way to remain inspired. In this lesson with Elixir® Strings, tutor Allan Salmon shows us what triads are and how we can use them.

Triads are three-note chords; the minimum version of a chord you can play, but that doesn't mean they're not full of great potential. In the video above, Allan demonstrates how versatile they can be in moving easily from major to minor chords by making only slight variations. And there's helpful chord diagrams in the lesson to guide you as you play along.
