Donner has long been recognized as a pioneer of the digital piano keyboard, and the company continues to innovate with its recent STARRYKEY, designed, like so many Donner products, to make it easier for more music fans to become music players – and to do it at an affordable price.

A compact keyboard with a full-sized range, the STARRYKEY boasts 25 velocity-sensitive and Aftertouch keys that offer nuanced control, while its semitone and octave switching functions let you access the same range as a full-sized keyboard. And it’s all achieved in a package that reduces 25 keys to square inches.

And that’s only the beginning. The STARRYKEY offers four assignable knobs and four assignable buttons that are compatible with all mainstream DAWs, as well as pitch and modulation wheels. There’s also eight velocity-sensitive backlit pads, each of which holds up to three different drum kits with 24 selectable custom tones.

What’s more, the STARRYKEY includes seven colored lights that can be triggered via playing instructions, or set through accompanying software.

Also included are a MIDI USB connection, as well as MIDI out and pedal interfaces, allowing you to use the STARRYKEY as a 25-key piano or output directly to a mixer or synthesizer.

The possibilities are virtually endless.

Donner has partnered with leading DAWs in the industry to offer musicians a complete starter pack. Registered customers of STARRY can now get lifetime free subscriptions to three legendary Steinberg DAWs, including Cubase LE, WaveLab LE, and Cubasis LE, the iOS version of Cubase LE. Additionally, And Melodics, the innovative music educational app, will offer Donner’s customers 40 free interactive lessons to build their skills and confidence with the portable keyboard. Customers can submit the order number and claim the free softwares on Donnermusic.com.

Donner recently hosted a symposium on Musicianship & Technology with Berklee College of Music faculty, and several instructors at the prestigious music school offered their expert opinions on the STARRYKEY.

“This MIDI keyboard is one of the true DONNER ‘stars,’ said Claudio Ragazzi, Grammy Award recording artist and educator. “I had a chance to work with this, sequencing, inputting dynamics, etc and is excellent. For the price this is an excellent option.”

“I want one for my studio and for my gigs today!” added producer and multi-instrumentalist and educator Yuki Kanesaka.

Essentially, said Nando Michelín, Berklee Professor and recording artist, it’s “very practical, and at a good price, too.”
