The beginner's guide to guitar tone
Included with the latest issue of Guitarist magazine is the fifth instalment of the magazine's DVD series. Entitled The Beginner's Guide to Tone, it gives advice and tips for all parts of your signal chain, from your fingers to your amp.
Comprising in-depth audio demos and comparisons of industry-standard instruments and amps, as well sections that point out the sonic differences between types of pickups and effects, the DVD gives you all you need to drastically improve your tone.
Where else can you hear and compare - side-by-side - classic amps from Fender, Mesa/Boogie, Vox and Marshall? Or guitars such as the Fender Strat and Telecaster, Gibson Les Paul, D'Aquisto Jazz Line and more? How about humbuckers, single-coils and P-90 pickups...?
The answer is only on Guitarist's The Beginner's Guide to Tone DVD, included with the July 2009 issue of Guitarist magazine. Check out the following teaser:
Guitarist's July 2009 issue is on sale now, priced £5.50. Log on to www.guitarist.co.uk for more.
