RECORDING WEEK 2025: If you’re anything like me, it can be a real heart-breaker when a mix that sounded fantastically well-balanced on your studio monitors ends up sounding like a distorted mess on your home listening set-up.

Whilst some monitors succeed in making your projects feel extra tasty during the mixing process, they often fail at being genuinely honest about those elements of your track that still require attention.

The experts at EVE Audio have long understood that hard truth, and have worked tirelessly to meet the demands for tell-it-straight accuracy within their globally-renowned monitors. The company’s flagship SC Series has become a byword for presenting detailed and trusted reflections of studio projects among experienced producers across the genre aisle.

First formed in 2011 by former ADAM Audio managing director Roland Stenz, the Berlin-based company has won plaudits over the last fourteen years for its benchmark-setting further releases in the SC Series, some of which we’ve been eager to bestow our own accolades.

Most recently, we called the SC2070 a, “pro monitor that delivers an impressively big, open sound for its size.”

Now, in 2025, EVE Audio, under the direction of the Stenz, has turned its sights to the future of monitoring.

Leaning on its considerable know-how, EVE Audio has concocted an exemplary all-new modern monitor range that can easily hold its own against the highest tier on the market right now.

The EVE EXO Series steps into the spotlight to claim the baton from the SC Series, excelling beyond the abilities of that preceding flagship range in a number of key ways. These new innovations serve to bring an unmatched monitoring experience to the table of today’s producers.

Enhanced acoustic design

Key to the EXO series is the all-new Precision Air Motion Tweeter which is neatly paired with the monitor’s Guided Directivity Control (GDC) waveguide. In tandem, these feats of engineering unite to bring a sweeping, all-encompassing sweet spot, bringing every facet of the frequency spectrum into sharp focus wherever you position yourself. Even the highest trebles are eminently perceivable with no distortion.

The low-end of the frequency range is also ably serviced by an all new-woofer design. It doesn’t matter if you plump for the EXO 24 (the smallest in the EXO range) or the largest, 2-way model the EXO 28, you can trust the solid - but truthful - thump of the built-in woofers.

Crafted with coated aluminium diaphragms (CAL) and optimised voice-coils, these woofers bring significant heft to the bass frequencies without any compromises on the honesty front. Bass is, therefore, tightened up with zero colouration.

That build quality is patently visible in the sleek, yet familiar, design aesthetics that expand upon the notable characteristics of the SC range.

Optimised bass reflex ports and strengthened internal bracing prevent any accidental sonic colouration or frequency interference. So, what you hear coming from the EXO series, is nothing short of the audio as it sounds.

With the EXO range in play, the days of blaming your speakers for a confusing final mix are a thing of the past.

Innovative room adaption

It’s not just the hardware that’s had an overhaul, on the internal DSP-front you’ll undoubtedly be impressed by the super smart algorithms which work to constantly calculate the most transparent sound.

Precise calibration for any home studio (or recording location) is able to be adjusted. And, with the upcoming EVE Control app, even more tailoring can be locked-in to ensure that your environment doesn’t intercede in what you're hearing.

You can also shape specific monitor parameters to taste. Those of you who operate within the realm of spatial audio will also find this upcoming software component of the EXO range a boon, with precise placement of sound sources within a Dolby Atmos sphere a key USP.

As with the SC series, a SMART knob is on-hand for quickfire calibration, and a back-positioned OLED display accurately relays current status.

An underpinning understanding that EVE Audio have imbued into the EXO series is that time costs. You can jump straight back into sessions via the Wake-On Signal option, while the ethernet port keeps your monitors connected to the EVE Audio online realm, guaranteeing your hardware is always up-to-date with the latest firmware and updates. No faff, just pure monitoring excellence, always on-hand.
