The Charlatans drummer Jon Brookes is recovering after undergoing brain surgery for the second time.

Brookes underwent treatment on 15 and 16 September, two years after first having a tumour removed.

A statement on the band's website revealed that he is now at home making a good recovery.

The drummer first underwent treatment back in September 2010 after collapsing on stage at a gig.
