Across four decades, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis have written and produced some of the most influential records in popular music history for artists including Janet Jackson, Prince, Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, Usher, and Boyz II Men. DrumX features hundreds of exclusive grooves programmed by Jimmy Jam, giving producers direct access to the feel, swing, pocket, and rhythm sensibilities behind generations of hit records.
But DrumX is much more than a collection of vintage drum sounds.
The instrument is built around a modern creative workflow that encourages experimentation and fast idea generation.

DrumX includes deep sound design controls such as real analog tape saturation through a Studer J37 tube tape machine, transient shaping, drive, compression, and “crush” processing, allowing producers to radically reshape classic drum machine sounds while preserving the character and energy that made them iconic in the first place.
