Ibanez Montage acoustic-electric guitar

The possibilities are endless
The possibilities are endless

Need a complete arsenal of sound in one gig bag? Ibanez's new acoustic-electric Montage Series could work out just fine then -- and the polite price is more than a little tempting.

Ibanez has five models in the new Montage Series of acoustic-electrics. Let's look at the MSC650VV. Here is a somewhat revolutionary instrument with two acoustic sounds, two electric sounds, mix capability, onboard reverb, chorus, distortion, phase canceling, dual notch filter, and atuner. These innovative electronics are possible with the combination of the B-Band® UST Acoustic Pickup, Ibanez AP9 Electric pickup, and the Ibanez HBP Multi-function Preamp with Onboard Tuner. Controls are conveniently mounted on the face of the upper bout. The instrument operates on a standard nine-volt battery and has balanced 1/4" and XLR outputs. The MSC650VV guitar also features a stunning-looking quilted maple body with a vintage violin gloss finish.

The Montage series guitars have a sleek, comfortable cutaway semi-jumbo body style and the exclusive Ibanez adjustable mahogany F.A.S.T. (Fast Action Set-Up Technology) lets the player quickly set up the action to their personal playing style. Other appointments include a rosewood fingerboard and bridge, Advantage™ bridge pins, and gold die-cast tuners.

As we indicated, the U.S. list price of $928.55 is not outrageous for such a great piece of work. And since the Montage Series isn't available until March 28, 2008, you'll have some time to save up.
