Bath's Rhythmfest is the ultimate Summer holiday for any drummers out there looking to improve their technique, learn from the experts or simply hang out with like-minded people.
The Fest will be happening at Bath Spa University between 1 and 8 August and will see daily masterclasses from Stanton Moore, Derrick McKenzie, Jerry Brown and several other world-class players, plus a full programme of tuition and workshops throughout the week led by Colin Woolway, Craig Blundell, Pete Riley and James Hester.
"I´m really looking forward to my second visit to the Bath Rhythmfest. The atmosphere, friendliness and simple joy of being immersed in drums and drumming for a week is just amazing."
Stanton Moore
If that's not enough then why not stretch your playing by attending the Billy Cobham Drum Academy at the WOMAD Summer School between 27 - 31 July. Billy Cobham is a legend and we'd give our right arm to learn with him (well, maybe not, we still need that to play, but you get the picture). If you don't believe us just check out his work on Mahavishnu Orchestra's Inner Mounting Flame album.
"This is an amazing opportunity. There is nothing like hearing about Miles Davis or the Mahavishnu Orchestra from Bill, it just brings the whole scene to life. He is also passionate about Cuban and Latin styles so there is a real mix going on."
