Guns N Roses' Axl Rose won't tour. He's done next to nothing to promote the all-but-forgotten Chinese Democracy. But when it comes to his manager, Irving Azoff, he's a man of action, having hired and rehired him three times in one month.
According to the New York Daily News, the manic-depressive singer is said to be resisting Azoff's pleas to try to revive the bomb album - pleas which, we would assume, run along the lines of asking (or begging) Rose to assemble GN'R and get them on the road already.
According to an insider, "Axl doesn't want anything to do with it. He won't come out of his house."
Hiring and firing - business as usual
"We're in daily contact with Axl, and we look forward to continuing to support him and Guns N' Roses" a rep for manager Irving Azoff
As proven, not exactly the way to sell an album. A source close to Azoff admits, "Axl is Axl. People get hired and fired all the time in this business."
Azoff's rep says that, as of last week, he and Rose are on speaking terms again: "We're in daily contact with Axl, and we look forward to continuing to support him and Guns N' Roses."
Which probably means another firing is down the line soon. (Source: Daily Swarm)
