Crunchessor 2.0 delivers compression and valve warmth

Crunchessor is Voxengo´s general-purpose track compressor, and it´s just been updated to version 2.0. New features include multi-platform support, multi-channel operation, mid-side processing and a preset manager.

As well as serving as a compressor, Crunchessor can also apply valve-style processing at the same time (great news for those who want to add a little analogue-style warmth). You can also choose from a selection of ‘colouration styles´.

Voxengo reckons that Crunchessor can be used on any type of audio material and is suitable for both single track and full mix processing. It runs on Mac and PC and supports the VST and AudioUnits plug-in formats.

At the moment, you can buy Crunchessor for $39.95, though this price will rise by 20% after a month. If you own version 1, you can upgrade for $24.95.
