Pearl have released two new congas: The PTC1175 Travel Conga and the Richie Flores Congas as well as the Marc Quinones Signature Timbale/Snare into the percussion market.
PTC1175 Travel Conga
Pearl's new PTC1175 Travel Conga is a compact 11.75" x 3.5" drum that can be carried in a backpack, played on your lap or mounted on a snare stand and integrated into your drum set or percussion set-up. The wood shell and stave construction is identical to the full-size congas and comes with a Remo FiberSkyn 3 synthetic head.
Richie Flores Congas
These Signature Oak Congas by Richie Flores, arguably one of the most technically proficient conga players around, are finished with Pearl's Lunar Eclipse transitions from silver to midnight blue. The drums feature Thai oak shells with contour crown rims, natural buffalo skins, chrome-plated hardware, and Pearl's exclusive Self-Aligning Washer System (S.A.W.S.).
Marc Quinones Signature Timbale/Snare
Pearl claims that the Marc Quinones Signature Q-Popper 12" x 5" Timbale Snare is perfect for accenting a traditional Salsa group while the timbale will add a touch of Caribbean flavour to your sound. The Q-Popper matches Marc's Signature steel timbales and comes standard with the new PPS-36 Angled Post Adaptor to mount it off any cymbal or hi-hat stand.
The PTC1175 Travel Conga has a list price of $249. For more information visit the Pearl Drums website.
