AC/DC set to name new album

Fans of 53-year-old men in schoolboy garb rejoice. Reports from Australia suggest that AC/DC will release the name of their 15th studio album next week, with Black Ice the frontrunning title.

According to Undercover news, Danny Keenan of the band's publishers Albert Music says Runaway Train is another title under consideration.

Keenan also says he has heard half the album but did not hear a song called Black Ice, so if it is a title track it is one of the later songs recorded for the album.

AC/DC recorded the album in Canada at Bryan Adams studio with producer Brendan O'Brien (Audioslave, Pearl Jam, Velvet Revolver). In a bold move, the band will sell the album exclusively through Wal-Mart stores in the US. The tactic worked well for The Eagles in 2007, who sold an enormous 2.98 million copies through the stores.

The new album is the legendary rock band's first since 2000's Stiff Upper Lip, which has shifted more than 930,000 copies in the US.
