Take home Simple Minds

Simple Minds to sell live concert recordings at the same gig.

Fans attending Simple Minds’ UK gigs will be able to take home a USB stick containing a recording of the performance they just watched.

Each date on Mel Gaynor and co’s Graffiti Soul tour, which kicks off at Newcastle Metro Radio Arena on 30th November, will be recorded onto USB sticks, available for fans to buy after the show.

The USB sticks will not include encores, but these can be downloaded, via an automatic hyperlink, upon installation of the USB stick on a computer.

Fans will be able to purchase a memory stick for all eight of Simple Minds’ UK concerts, each of which promises a different set list.

According to Simple Minds frontman Jim Kerr: “In addition to buying the USB stick after the concert at the merchandise stall, no matter where you are in the world, you can go online and download the songs from that show, or you can have the stick packaged and sent directly to you. It‘s amazing.”

The live concert USB stick is the brainchild of German company Concert Online. Kiss and Madness have previously released their concerts on USB stick courtesy of Concert Online.
