Asus releases video of touchscreen Eee PC
Asus's Eee PC netbook is already something of a phenomenon, and by the looks of things, its popularity could be set to go through the roof in 2009.
At the recent Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the company displayed two versions of the diminutive laptop that also work as touchscreen tablets: the T91 and T101H.
Now it's released a video of this next-gen Eee PC technology that gives you a good idea of how it works.
As you'll discover if you watch the clip below, the new netbooks can be used in a standard laptop configuration, or you can swivel the screen round and lay it flat against the keyboard to create a tablet.
It's not yet clear what (if any) the implications of the new netbooks' launch could be for computer musicians, but what is certain is that touchscreen technology is very much on its way.
