10 tips for successful drum depping outlined the advantages of depping for another drummer and the importance of volunteering. Now, courtesy of Rhythm Magazine, here are 10 more essentials: drummers' etiquette, drum set ups and networking…

10 more drum depping tips

1. Follow the drummers' etiquette

Deputising for a fellow drummer is a great way to make a new contact, but there are questions of etiquette to be aware of. Answer them all…

2. Google Maps is your friend

Get a map and arrive early - they'll all be fretting you're not going to turn up.

3. Be confident, not cocky

First impressions count: put everyone at ease by acting professional when you turn up.

4. Dress appropriately

Tama stewart copeland kit

Stewart Copeland's signature Tama Kit = unsuitable for depping, obviously

5. Scale down your drum set

Don't turn up with a massively oversized kit. You'll be crowding/overshadowing the egotistical Guitarist/Singer.
