ANSWER:
STONE GOSSARD's first band featured Soundgarden bassist Ben Shepherd [1], who played guitar on Mark Lanegan´s [2] solo album 'Field Songs', as did Duff McKagan [3], who also played on Iggy Pop´s [4] album 'Brick By Brick', whose guitarist in the Stooges, Ron Asheton [5], recently collaborated with Sonic Youth guitarist Thurston Moore [6]. Moore currently plays in To Live And Shave In L.A with Andrew WK [7], who is also in The Brill Sisters with guitarist Matt Sweeney [8]. And Sweeney guested on the posthumous album 'American V' by... JOHNNY CASH!
