A one-off event celebrating the career of Jimi Hendrix is taking place in London in two weeks!
First up, Jimi's legendary performance at the Monterey Pop Festival will be screened at 7:45pm on Thursday October 25th at the Hippodrome in London's Leicester Square. This exclusive, one-time only theatrical music film event to one of the greatest electric guitarists ever will receive a simultaneous broadcast to over 180 cinema screens across Europe.
The screening will be followed by an hour-long live concert performed by an all-star band featuring guitarist Gary Moore, and surviving Jimi Hendrix Experience members, Mitch Mitchell (drums) and Billy Cox (bass), plus Dave Bronze on bass and Primal Scream's Darrin Mooney on drums!
The screening and live concert event coincides with “Jimi Hendrix Live at Monterey: The Definitive Edition” released on DVD, HD DVD & CD on October 29th (the latter includes the brand new Hendrix documentary film ‘American Landing’). Hendrix's original recording engineer, Eddie Kramer, will mix the simulcast in 5.1 Surround Sound.
