TG coverstars Biffy Clyro came and conquered our (nearby) hometown of Bristol last week, bringing the bright lights, signature Squiers and epic sing-alongs with them.
Frontman/guitarist Simon Neil was shirtless and ferocious from the start, opening with TG fave 'That Golden Rule' powered by the tighter-than-thou rhythm section of Ben and James Johnston.
With the only teething problem being Neil's guitar cutting out during the opening song, Biffy were on their A-game with touring guitarist Mike Vennart (Oceansize) bringing their new album sound to life.
'Living Is A Problem', 'Bubbles' and 'Mountains' provoked the biggest and best reactions of the night, along with 'God And Satan' (on which Neil busted out a gorgeous white Gretsch) and the acoustic driven 'Machines'.
'The Captain' closed the show, with Biffy's captive audience reaching fever pitch as Neil bent double on the floor hammering out the last chords.
TG pledged our love for Biffy Clyro from the first moment we heard 'Infinity Land' back in 2004, and this gig has proven their mettle for being one of the most explosive, passionate live acts around....
