Kent-based Summer School Bluescap is open to singers, guitarists, bassists, drummers and keyboardists of all ages and abilities, aimed at giving invaluable live performance skills.
The three day school in blues, rock and jazz playing is led by some of the best music teachers in the business, and takes place at the Performing Arts Centre at Cranbrook School from 22nd to 24th August.
Vic Hyland, winner of the 2007 Guitar Tutor of the Year, is one of the organisers: "There is no substitute for playing in a band," he says. "We have designed Bluescamp to be a very 'hands on' weekend supported by teaching staff who are all professional musicians and tutors providing coaching and guidance to improve your skills."
Bluescamp is organized around a series of workshops on different instruments together with combined jam sessions and songwriting.
Bluescamp is your unique chance to play with a number of different bands, in different combinations, in different styles inspired by some of the best teachers in the business – so if music is your life this weekend is guaranteed to take you to the next level.
