Matt Sorum (Velvet Revolver, Guns N' Roses) is amongst those taking part in the VH1 Classic Celebrity Bowl-Off tournament on Thursday, 13 November at Lucky Strike Lanes in Hollywood, California (we originally posted that Tommy Lee was involved, but this is no longer the case). He will join an exclusive list of actors, celebrities and members of the music industry who will take to the lanes and showcase their bowling skills to raise awareness for autism.
The evening will be hosted by Dave Navarro (Jane's Addiction) and will also include a silent auction with rare rock 'n' roll photography from legendary photographers Jim Marshall and Richard E. Aaron, music, food, drinks and the chance to play the Rock Band video game.
VH1's Classic Rock Autism campaign is designed to help educate parents and build awareness about autism and to raise funds for a variety of autism research, advocacy and support organisations.
If you live in the area and want to attend, general admission tickets are $150; alternatively you can sponsor a bowling lane and bowl with a rock star for a paltry $5,000!
