Josh Freese has quit the Maynard James Keenan-led supergroup A Perfect Circle.
Freese, who co-founded the band back in 1999, posted on his Twitter page: "After 13 years, I've decided to leave @aperfectcircle with no plans of returning. Apologies to those inquiring about the upcoming shows."
Jeff Friedl last year filled in for Freese while the latter toured with Weezer.
