Darth Vader backs Welsh drum talent!

Dave Prowse MBE, the actor behind Star Wars' Darth Vader and the Green Cross Code Man is using the Force in a new, more positive way to promote Welsh solo artist Jayce Lewis (who you may remember drumming for Losing Sun). Between them Dave and Jayce are to establish a brand new record label, from which Jayce will release his future works. The first of which will be Jayce's debut album Chapter.

The album is currently being recorded in three separate studios, one of which is the famous Nott-In-Pill Studios in Newport, with ex-Skindread duo Jeff and Ginge. Both the single and video for 'Icon' are set for imminent release - keep your eyes peeled to www.myspace.com/jaycelewismusic

"I have known Jayce for a few years and have always been in awe of his talent," says Dave. "Although Jayce is primarily a drummer what amazes me is that every song is not only written by Jayce but he also performs on every instrument, writes all the programming and sings on the album!"

Jayce is currently endorsed by Yamaha drums, Paiste cymbals, Marshall Amplification, and TW Steel watches and was recently offered a sponsorship deal with Gibson Guitars.

The Force is strong in this one. Dave Prowse and Jayce Lewis

"This has only been a four month project and yet is gathering so much pace," says Jayce. "Myself and Dave are both excited to see what is round the corner."
