My bands and projects: The Smalltown Crooks; The Smalltown Crooks began in a village hall in the arse end of nowhere with the idea of putting a blues band together. After 6 months or so and one or two line up changes we moved towards a more varied range of styles in the general blues rock country vein. Last January (2007) after positive audience feedback from our own material (which was around 3 songs)we bit the bullet and started taking matters a little more seriously. We recorded and released our debut e.p. "Escape from Doncatraz" ,played over 45 gigs, wrote over 30 new songs , and started recording our new album with the working title "Silence of the Crooks" .... we love playing live and will play almost anywhere !!! if you check out our myspace you can download a pre release version of a new track called "Sofa" .... let us know what you think !!!
