A little about me. For the last 8 and a half years I have been working full-time for Myers since 1999, running the music/video dept for 5 years until Myer sold it off to Virgin Music in 2004 then working in Home Entertainment, now I work in Logisitics. In the last few months a few things have happened in my life that have been positive for me in terms of DJ'ing and music production. I have finally updated my DJ PA system, I got 2 X Pioneer 1000 MK3's now and a kick-ass 1500 watt JBL PA system. I got me a Access Virus TI 61 key hardware synth, I got Ableton Live 7, Reason 4, Stylus RMX and Absynth 4 and a KRK Rokit monitor speaker system which consists of 2 RP5's and a RP10s subwoofer. I updated my computer and together with my thousands of loops and samples that I have collected in the last 5 years I'm ready to start producing some killer tracks for the dancefloor. I have 15 years DJ experience, but little of it in Brisbane. I started out as a mobile DJ back in 88. But most of my clubbing DJ experience was acquired in Cairns, thanks to a good friend of mine and one of Cairn's finest DJ's, DJ Smooth-E. I was an active part of the scene up there during 93 to 97 then 98 to 99. I contributed to 'Son of Barfly Magazine' with music reviews & articles, I co-hosted a dance music show for over 4 years with DJ Chooky on 4CCR called 'Off ya Dial' where we invited local DJ talent to play live on the show. I held residencies in 3 of Cairns most popular nightclubs, Club 2000 ,End Of The World and 'the Sportsbar', and played numerous gigs at events and dance parties up there too. On the Gold Coast from 97 to 98 I managed 'Central Station Records' as well as played at a few gigs we organised down there with the likes of Peewee Ferris, GT & Paul Holden to name a few. And of lately I have been doing private parties for friends and businesses which I get good money for. I have played a few times at a regular night called 'Open Dex' in Fortitude Valley at The Stepp Inn. I have an awesome music collection and always updated weekly. I like to mix house in particular electro, progressive and I love to mix funky breaks music too. My style of mixing can be described as 'seamless, harmonic key mixing' meaning that I mix my music seamlessly using the harmonic key system so my music flows and doesn't clash in terms of keys eg. A#, B#, C# etc etc etc. My music is labelled with the harmonic key code with BPM and time. I have the latest, the greatest and stuff that hasn't been released yet. I also have done various remixes for other artists on acidplanet.com under the name 'cooltempoze'. Well thats me in a nutshell. I would love to be hearing from some of you soon.
