Collaborations have always been part of the Basement Jazz shtick, and it seems that their new album Scars, due for release in October, will be chock-a-block with them.

The most intriguing name to appear on Scars' contributor list is that of Yoko Ono, who The Jaxx recorded in New York. Speaking about the experience to Billboard, Felix Buxton, one half of the duo, said: "That was the reason we went out there, and then Yo! Majesty and Santigold fell into place along with that."

Fans who buy the record can also look forward to hearing the likes of Eli "Paperboy" Reed, Sam Sparro, Paloma Faith, Lightspeed Champion and Amp Fiddler.

Basement Jaxx recently released Raindrops, Scars' first single, and this will be followed by another, Feelings Gone. They've also announced a huge pre-Christmas show at London's O2 Arena on 17 December.
