Universal Audio's new UAD-2 Solo/Laptop is likely to be a very useful addition to many on-the-go producers' laptop setup.

We posted the original press release on our NAMM 2009 blog, but at the time, there were no images of this ExpressCard-based powered plug-in system.

We've got some now, though - check them out below.

Shipping with the 1176SE Compressor/Limiter, Pultec EQP-1A Equalizer, RealVerb Pro Room Modeler, and CS-1 Channel Strip plug-ins, the UAD-2 Solo/Laptop is expected to cost around $500.

There are no further details on the Universal Audio website yet, but we're guessing there will be soon.
