Having premiered its forthcoming Otus DJ controller at the 2008 Winter NAMM show, Finnish company EKS has announced that another version, known as Otus Raw, is also in the works.

While the standard Otus is designed to be very much a ‘next gen´ controller and to give you control of two audio channels in one bit of hardware, the Raw version is a more traditional proposition. It´s a single deck device that features a 7.5-inch jog wheel, a physical pitch slider, a touchpad and four velocity pads.

The Otus Raw is set to ship in the third quarter of 2008 - no price has yet been announced.

The release of the standard Otus, meanwhile, has slipped back a month to June 2008. This makes extensive use of touchpad and motion sensor technology, and enables you to quickly switch between two layers of controls.

You can find out more about the Otus range at the EKS website.
