Bias has updated Peak Express, its entry-level Mac audio editor, to version 6. This adds a number of new features, including compatibility with the company's iProRecorder iPhone recording app.

Peak Express 6 is designed for Apple users who want a simple application for editing audio files, converting LPs and cassettes into digital formats and improving the quality of voice recordings.

Files captured by iProRecorder can be sent directly to Peak Express 6 via WiFi, while the software can also open audio in the AIFF, WAV, SDII, MP3, MP2, QuickTime, AAC and FLAC formats.

Standard editing features such as cut, copy, paste and crop are included, while normalise, sample rate conversion adjustable gain and fade options are also available.

The software supports the VST and AU plug-in formats and comes bundled with several effects, too. Files can be sent directly to iTunes - either compressed or uncompressed - and you can edit metadata.

Peak Express 6 is available now for the introductory price of $39.95.
