25 February saw the NME Awards take place at the O2 Academy Brixton, and it turned out to be a big night for Britpop. The ceremony not only featured a surprise Blur reunion, but also saw their mid-nineties rivals Oasis win the Best British Band award.
Oasis - who weren't in attendance - were booed by some sections of the crowd when their award was announced. Meanwhile, Blur's Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon reunited onstage for the first time since 2000 to perform classic Parklife track This Is A Low.
