Last week, Kanye West streamed brand new track Love Lockdown on his blog. The fans' reaction was split: some loved it while others slammed the mixing and the rapper's use, or over-use, of Auto-Tune. Yesterday, Kanye posted again: "Your prayers have been answered!! There's a new version of Love Lockdown coming."
"We used new Taiko drums and I re-sung it… it's being mastered now," West continued.
With petitions for Metallica to re-record the mega-hyped Death Magnetic springing up all over the place, it's refreshing to see a household-name taking note of disgruntled fans. Of course, the fact that Metallica have already sold about a billion copies of Death Magnetic, makes their re-recording process slightly more complicated.
West did stick to his guns on one subject, though: "If you don't like Auto-Tune... too bad cause I love it and have been using it since The College Dropout."
Unconfirmed rumours have it on good authority that Kanye's next album will be called 808's & Heartbreak, hitting the shelves 16 December.
