The TuneStudio promises high-quality iPod recording.
The TuneStudio promises high-quality iPod recording.

Belkin has announced that its TuneStudio - which was actually launched back in January 2007 - is now available. Like the company's Podcast Studio, this enables you to record directly to your iPod, but the difference with the TuneStudio is that it also works as a 4-channel mixer.

The device features phantom-powered XLR, 1/4-inch jack and phono inputs and can record at 16-bit/44.1kHz quality. Each channel has 3-band EQ, pan and level controls, while a stereo compressor is also built-in.

As well as working standalone, the TuneStudio can operate as a USB audio interface with your Mac or PC.

The TuneStudio is shipping in the US now and has a list price of $399.99. Availability in Asia, Europe and Australia will follow.
