Owners of Roland’s SH-201 who want to expand their synth’s soundset can now do so for free. Why? Because Roland has developed two new patch collections and made them available for download.

Known as Bass Collection and Pads & Atmospheres, these preset packages are said to recreate some of the best-loved synth sounds from the past 25 years. Stylistically, the bass patches are designed to cover everything from 70s funk to house, techno and jungle via 80s new wave, while the pads range from smooth and fat to filtered.
