Avid is offering you the chance to work with an acclaimed producer and scoop a whole lot of gear, including Pro Tools 12, if you can compose and record an original track using its Pro Tools | First software.
The competition sees Avid teaming up with the Mix With The Masters program, and three lucky winners will get the chance to work with acclaimed producers Andrew Scheps (Adele, Metallica, U2, Jay-Z and Michael Jackson), Tchad Blake (Arctic Monkeys, Elvis Costello, Peter Gabriel and Pearl Jam), and Marek Pompetzki (Sido, Aloe Blacc, Miley Cyrus, Namie Amuro and Mo Trip).
The competition is divided into three entry categories: Songwriter, Bedroom Producer and Beat Maker. The winner of the Songwriting category will collaborate with Andrew Scheps, firstly online and then in an all expenses paid 2-day/3-night studio session either in the UK or France.
The Bedroom Producer category winner will team up with Tchad Blake in an online collaboration, and if you capture the Beat Making prize you will get to work with Marek Pompetzki online and enjoy a day's studio time in Berlin, on an all expenses paid 2-night trip.
All three winners will also receive a complete studio setup featuring Pro Tools | Quartet, Pro Tools 12, Eleven MK II, and the Classic Compressors Bundle. In addition, each of the judges will award two runner-up prizes comprising a complimentary Pro Tools 12 perpetual license and a Mix With The Masters online subscription.
Contestants must be based in Europe, the Middle East, India or Africa only and must be 18 or over. To enter, you will need to download Pro Tools | First for free, then compose an original track of no more than four minutes long using the software. Then you can head over to the Music in Motion website to upload your track. Finally, sit back and hope you get the call - but hurry, as the competition closes at the end of this month.
