The Strokes' frontman Julian Casablancas, Santogold, Pharrell Williams and the rest of N.E.R.D. have joined forces to record a track for footwear brand Converse. The song called My Drive Thru will be released tomorrow (10 June) as a free download in conjunction with Converse's 100th birthday celebrations.

Converse shoes, especially the Chuck Taylor All-Star, has always been synonymous with rock 'n' roll – from The Ramones to the aforementioned Strokes. We're not saying this fact excuses corporate sell-out, but it might make it a bit easier to swallow for the cynics among us.
