Stone Roses debut gets 20th anniversary reissue

The Stone Roses' 1989 debut album is set to receive the deluxe reissue treatment on 11 August via Silvertone/Legacy. Three different packages will be available to purchase for completist fans and anyone who has been living in space for two decades and doesn't already own it as a result.

First up, the not-so-special 'Special Edition' CD features the original album, with the full-length version of Fools Gold bolted on to the end of it. More tempting is the 'Legacy Edition', which features a the original album plus a bonus disc of demos - including the previously unreleased song Pearl Bastard - and a DVD of the band's 1989 Blackpool Live concert film.

Finally, the 'Collectors Edition' contains all of the above plus three vinyl LPs and a 2 GB USB memory stick shaped like a lemon containing "all the audio, promo videos, ringtones, wallpapers, plus previously unseen John Leckie home video footage of the recording of Fool's Gold."

There's also a book featuring photographs and interviews with the band and celebrity fans like Noel Gallagher, and six prints of John Squire artwork.
