MusicRadar is changing!

Check out our new look

View in gallery

We've come a long way since we launched in December last year. Now we're going even further!

From this Wednesday (23rd July), you'll notice a few changes to MusicRadar. Not only are we having a spring clean and swapping 'slightly murky black' for 'lovely clean white', we've added even more of the content you've asked for.

MORE NEWS

We've not only upped the amount of news stories posted every day, but we're covering a wider range of artists, products and shows than ever before – and we're doing all of it more often thanks to the extra MusicRadar writers now on board.

MORE TUITION

Our ever-excellent Tuition section has not only been spruced up looks-wise, it now features even more of our exclusive video lessons, step-by-step walkthroughs, backing tracks and free tab.

MORE REVIEWS

Our GearFinder section has changed its name to ReviewFinder. Why? Simple - to reflect the fact that we've added even more of the best product reviews in the business. Written by the experts from such market-leading magazines as Guitarist, Computer Music and Total Guitar, only MusicRadar's reviews are editorially independent and backed up with video and audio clips.

The coming months will bring even more improvements. We're keeping our powder dry on a lot of our plans but you can expect big changes on the tuition front plus even more great content from our sister magazines (check out their blogs via the home page).

In the meantime, here are just half a dozen choice selections that we think you'll enjoy:

VIDEO LESSONS: Guitar basics
Just getting started? Everything you need is here in lovely streaming video

REVIEWS: Cycling '74 Max/MSP 5
It's an acknowledged classic software app – read our review then hear the latest update in action

BLOG: The 11 best music videos of modern times
We've compiled our favourites – but what are yours?

NEWS: Jimi Hendrix and Stephen Stills album confirmed
Our Google-busting world exclusive behind-the-scenes report on that 'new' Hendrix album

REVIEWS: Vox Virage DC
Check out our video footage of the latest Vox in action, thanks to Guitarist editor Mick Taylor

MUSICRADAR INTERVIEW: Paul Gilbert
US Editor Joe Bosso talks turkey (okay, he talk guitars) with king of speed, Paul Gilbert

That's it from us – for now. We hope you like what you see (and watch and hear and play) and let us know what you think via the forums.

Cheers,

Mike Goldsmith
Editor-in-Chief

nice look- but where have the samples gone?
Has this idea been dropped due to lack of addition to the online sample collection?

Well I actually like the dark header but the new white look is nice too, I can't believe it has only been 8 or 9 months since this site launched! Look forward to the new improved site keep up the great work :)
