UPDATE: Metallica's label demanded early album release

Death Magnetic: available everywhere

Following this morning's excitement of buying Death Magnetic a day before release, it turns out one Zavvi music store began selling it yesterday. There is, however, no suggestion that HMV or Zavvi broke the sales embargo. Metallica's label Vertigo reportedly told them to go ahead and sell it early because the album had already leaked online.

Unsurprisingly, there's been no word on whether Glasvegas' storming chart prediction had anything to do with it.
