The No.1 website for musicians
Essential instruments, amps and FX plus our hero of the year

This is a broad category but the stand-out winner is a product that took our preconceptions about guitar wireless systems and tore them to bits.
It's digital, so the audio frequency range is bigger than most of its counterparts, and the Cable Tone settings allow you to attenuate some of the extra crispness that comes from being cable-free. The most important thing though, is that it just works, without any of the associated horror stories about picking up taxi cab radios or leaving your tone horribly squashed. It's time to be brave and cut that cord.
I wish that they sold thisLine 6 wireless system in the US... All the stuff we can get here looks like garbage and most of it isnt digital.
modern life is rubbish matey
Had mine a week now - I'm blown away with it! The snob in me had assumed that a Mex Fender couldn't possibly be as well built as an American. I can tell no difference in terms of quality between this and the USA Teles I have owned in the past; it's absolutely spot on. The only slight niggle i have, is the toggle switch feels a bit flimsy to me compared to that of a Gibson. Small potatoes though, set against the huge ballsy sound, lovely chunky neck, great playability, great sustaining tone and gorgeous looks. Buy one immediately - it rocks like a moose!
Best guitar of the year - something mainly from the 70's. Best Bass - a 60's re-issue. What does this tell us something about the state of modern music when the best stuff around is a re-hash of the 60's + 70's?
