Carl Martin puts out the Echotone pedal

Admit it, it looks cool
Admit it, it looks cool

Since 1990, Carl Martin's audio products have attracted noted guitarists such as Joe Bonamassa - who can be seen here in our exclusive MusicRadar tuition series - John Jorgenson, and Billy Gibbons, to name a few. The new Echotone foot pedal is sure to bring more converts.

The Carl Martin Echotone gives guitarists 1200 milliseconds of vintage echo, but there's also foot-switchable Tap or Manual time settings, as well as an insert loop and switchable trail function at bypass.

Players can switch from a Manual time setting to a Tap time setting - very handy when playing slapback rhythms or launching into spacey lead solos. What's more, players can flavor the echo by installing a chorus, flange or distortion pedal in the insert loop and the switchable trail function at bypass. Test guitarists have raved about the sonic capabilities of the Echotone.

As for ourselves, we just think it looks kind of cool. But we might be testing this little gizmo out, so keep your eyes peeled for a review. For further information (pricing isn't available as yet), visit the official Carl Martin website.
