Surf Guitar 101 is a website and podcast series dedicated to all things twangy, windswept and reverberated. The site has forums and news about shows and events. Surf Guitar 101 also holds a convention every August in Los Alamitos, California.

String music was a genre of Thai pop music that was influenced by Western surf and instrumental rock band. The style was also known as 'shadow music' in honour of Cliff Richard’s old muckers, The Shadows. One of the movement's best-loved bands was The Son Of P.M.
