Meinl Foot Cabasa: play percussion feet first

A cabasa attached to a drum pedal. Simple

Meinl Percussion first introduced its Foot Cabasa back at Winter NAMM 2008. It's now available for public consumption, allowing players to keep a cabasa rhythm with their feet while keeping both hands free to play other drums.

Essentially, it's a steel-chained drum pedal with Meinl's wooden Turbo Cabasa attached. You can choose between single (down-stroke only sound) or double stroke (both down and upstrokes). It's simple and - as this video suggests – effective.

The Foot Cabasa is available now, priced at $259. See Meinl Percussion for more.
