Chickenfoot sell out shows in record time

Chickenfoot's self-titled debut album doesn't come out till 9 June, but tickets to their first shows are already gone.
The 'supergroup,' comprised of Sammy Hagar, Joe Satriani, Michael Anthony and Chad Smith, has posted the following message on their website:
"Beyond our expectations, the public on-sales for the nine road-test shows sold out all tickets in record time. The band was blown away by your response and can't wait to take the show on the road!"
Group will hit tour again this summer
Because tickets for the shows were snatched up so quickly, the band has instituted an anti-scalping policy for the concerts, requiring each ticket owner to show ID at the door for each show.

The group will play bigger venues, in August and September, during a major North American tour. "The boys are in rehearsal this week, and we'll see you on the road!" they promise.
