The No.1 website for musicians
Mapex is a relative newcomer to the drums and cymbals market, having been manufacturing for 18 years, but the company has recently built up a solid reputation for quality. Manufactured by KHS Musical Instruments, Mapex drum kits encompass the introductory Voyager and Horizon series, the intermediate/semi pro Meridian Birch and Meridean Maple - the company's biggest sellers - and the pro-level Saturn and Orion ranges.
Mapex is also associated with Falcon pedals, Black Panther snare drums and Tornado starter kits. All Mapex kits ship with Remo heads. High profile drummers who play Mapex include renowned British sticksman Steve White, and Lee Barratt of hardcore punk band Gallows.
