The No.1 website for musicians
Gibson was prompted by competition from the Far East to create a lower budget version of its iconic Les Paul Electric guitar. The company now produces over 25 versions of the Epiphone Les Paul and models include the Standard, Custom, Special, Studio and Ultra plus artist signature models from the likes of Slash and Joe Bonamassa.
The Epiphone Les Paul Standard is by far the most popular model and considered to be Epiphone's market leader. It features a solid mahogany body, set mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard. Hardware consists of Grover machine heads, Alnico Classic humbuckers and a tune-o-matic bridge. It ships with either a plain or flame maple top.
