Shortlist revealed for Acoustic Guitar of the Year

The past year or so has been a bumper one for acoustics and electro-acoustics, from all corners of the globe and at all price points.

All the instruments below have received a minimum 'Guitarist Choice' award and we feel they all warrant your close inspection.

We asked for your votes to help select the Music Industries Association's 'Guitar Techniques Acoustic Guitar of the Year' to be presented at this year's MIA Awards Ceremony.

Those votes have now been used to compile a final shortlist, and the ultimate winner will be announced at the MIA Awards ceremony on the evening of 30 November 2011.
