Two Signed Shadows Guitars In Charity Auction

A Fender 50s Classic Stratocaster and Burns Marquee are being auctioned in aid of Children In Need – and both have been signed by The Shadows (including Cliff) on their recent reunion tour.

These two beauties will be auctioned during the interval at Celebrating The Shadows – an event featuring four of the top Shadows tribute band in aid of Children in Need at 8.30pm on Friday 20th November at Loddon Valley Leisure Centre, Lower Earley, Reading, Berkshire.

A Fender 50’s Classic Stratocaster finished in fiesta red, donated by Fender, featuring:

Chrome hardware
Vintage pickups
Tinted maple neck
Five way switch
Aged cream pickup covers, knobs, switch tip, tremolo arm tip
Steel tremolo block

A Burns Marquee kindly supplied by Barry Gibson, featuring:

Gold hardware
Three Burns Alnico Rez-o-matik pickups
Maple neck with rosewood fingerboard
Five-way switch
Push/pull pickup selector
Burns deluxe tremolo unit

A leather guitar strap signed by Hank & Bruce is also being auctioned thanks to the donation from Oasis Music. This is the prototype of the strap supplied with The Shadows 50th Anniversary Collectors Outfit and is unique being in brown instead of the black of the production version.

Even before the evenings performances and auction there will be Shadows action aplenty; during the afternoon of the there will be a Shadows Club players’ session to backing tracks, starting at 3.15pm. Concert begins at 6.45pm. Ticket price includes entry to afternoon session.
