Mr Big Reunion Confirmed

In an interview posted up on Music Radar.com, bass-plucker extraordinaire Billy Sheehan has confirmed that seminal nineties rockers Mr Big are back - and with original guitarist Paul Gilbert too.

"The way I look at it is, it's like getting back with an old girlfriend but because you want to, not because you have to. All of us are doing fine in our solo careers. This is something that felt right, and after that one gig we were like, 'We should do more of these. This was fun!'" Sheehan says.

The band´s last shows took place in Japan in 2002, and their mooted return is also planned for the Land of the Rising Sun.

Bit of a change of heart for El Pablo, however.
Check this quote from an old chat with Paul taken from here.

”I would rather not play with Mr. Big again; eight years was enough. Plus, we have so many live albums that anybody can hear what we sounded like live. I did have some really good times with the band, and I think we made some cool music, but I´m on to other things...”

Erm, OK: if you can play as well as Paul does, then you´re allowed to change your mind...
