Megadeth's Dave Mustaine to appear at Music Live

Metal legend and Megadeth mainman Dave Mustaine has been confirmed to appear both at Music Live and Professional Music Technology´s annual Guitarfest at Birmingham´s NEC this November.

Guitarfest will take place on 7 November on the Music Live stage following the show´s Education Day with the rest of the bill comprising Vinnie Moore (UFO), Thunder, The Quireboys and the Marco Mendoza band.

Mustaine will be meeting and greeting visitors during signing sessions on the Marshall stand every day during Music Live, following in the footsteps of previous special guests including Duff McKagan (Velvet Revolver, Guns n´Roses), Kerry King (Slayer), Matt Tuck (Bullet For My Valentine), Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers) and Roy Mayorga (Stone Sour).

Music Live show manager Jason Hunt said, “PMT and I are thrilled that Dave will be joining us at Music Live and Guitarfest this year, thanks to Marshall´s sterling efforts and support. As one of the pioneers of modern metal he´s one of the most important musicians of his generation and an inspiration to millions. Giving Music Live visitors a rare opportunity to meet their heroes is an important part of the show and we expect the usual excitement and organised chaos during his appearances with Marshall this year.”

Music Live - which runs between 7-9 November - also features an eclectic Live Stage line-up (which this year includes The Mexicolas, Joe Bonamassa, The Stone Gods, Chinastyle, The Electric City, Tommy Aldridge and Marco Mendoza), an exhibition area home to the world´s biggest guitar, amplification, drum and hi-tech brands and music career seminars hosted by industry experts.
