Make no mistake, Slade were huge and the most outrageous performer of all four members was the diminutive Hill, who shamelessly - and brilliantly - cavorted to Noddy Holder's left during the band's endless touring schedule at the end of the seventies. A very underrated player and a true glam rock icon.
